Headquarters for the Marathon is in Monterey, 110 miles south of San Francisco, 400 miles north of Los Angeles. You can fly directly into the Monterey Regional Airport, only five minutes from downtown Monterey.

Other airport options include San Jose, (70 miles away), San Francisco and Oakland (110 miles).

The Monterey Peninsula offers a wealth and variety of lodging opportunities, including our host hotels, the Portola Hotel & Spa and the Monterey Marriott.
Portola Hotel & Spa at Monterey Bay
Stay at the Portola Hotel, located directly next to the Monterey Conference Center. The rate $409 per night, a two-night minimum stay is required, Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday. Included in this rate is 24 hour access to Fitness Center, Outdoor heated swimming pool/jacuzzi. Credit card provided at time of reservation and a non-refundable first night’s room will be charged. Overnight parking is $22.00 self-parking or $27.00 valet per night.
