We are using an Event Alert System (EAS) to help ensure participant safety. Please review EAS levels and stay tuned for EAS announcements on race weekend. The anticipated Event Alert System (EAS) Flag Color for race day is GREEN (Low Risk: Good Conditions).
- The weather forecast calls for High 54, low of 46. Winds NW at 8 mph, gusts to 16 mph, and mostly cloudy skies throughout the day.
- The anticipated EAS Flag Color is GREEN (Low Risk: Good Conditions).
- Our partners at the National Weather Service (NWS) have identified possible scattered showers that may include lightning on Saturday. They do not expect any impact for Sunday’s race. We will be working closely with the NWS to monitor these conditions.
- Trained medical personnel will be on-site for the event. Buses in Relay Exchange Zones can be used for shelter and SAG vehicles will be on course to pick up those runners unable to finish.
- BSIM maintains close contact with public safety officials. They have not expressed safety or security concerns about the event.
- Any updates regarding weather or safety concerns will be communicated via email to participants.
