Transportation – Marathon, 21-Miler, 11-Miler, Relay

It is important to note that runners are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to ride the buses to the start area.  Parking is EXTREMELY limited in the venue area and runner drop offs will cause significant traffic congestion.  We are unable to start any of the races late for ANY reason, so if runners are not present for the immediate start of their race, they will not be allowed onto the course.  Taking the bus is the only way to guarantee you are on-time to the event.  PLEASE PLAN TO RIDE THE BUS.

Marathoners – if you selected a bus pick-up location in your haku participant account, it will be printed on your bib and you can pick-up your bus ticket at the Expo.  If you did not pre-select, you can head to the Transportation Desk. Your ticket options will be first come first served based on availability.

21-Milers – if you selected the Marriott as your bus pick-up location, it will be printed on your bib and you can pick-up your bus ticket at the Expo.  If you selected the Barnyard, that will no longer be a pick-up option due to its close proximity to the start line.  If you selected Barnyard or did not pre-select a location at all, you can head to the Transportation Desk. Your ticket options will be first come first served based on availability.  Note you can choose ANY Marathon bus pick-up location now since they both go to the same start line.

Relay – you do not need a bus ticket, and your bus pick-up location is Monterey Peninsula College.

Please note, there is no transportation for the 12K and 5K distances.  Public parking in lots along Carmel Rancho Blvd. is suggested.

REVISED BUS PICK-UP LOCATIONS AND TIMES

*Participants with current Big Sur lodging: Race provided Big Sur shuttles to Carmel for race starts (or to the 11-Miler start at Grimes Ranch) will unfortunately NOT be possible on race day due to the needed start times of the races as well as the Caltrans convoy schedule. While it may be possible for participants with Big Sur area lodging to drive to the start in Carmel, it would be dependent on the convoy schedule, which is currently unconfirmed for race morning.  Please keep in mind the convoy is currently for essential workers and residents only and is weather dependent.  For questions, please email registration@bsim.org.
